With sustainability and impactful innovation becoming core deliverables for businesses over the last few years, the two sectors are seeking a more collaborative approach to their operations to ensure that packaged foods and consumer goods reduce their environmental footprint - and this can only happen if the packaging producers work closely with the manufacturers and packers of food and consumer goods, from the idea creation all through the value chain, to the consumer.

The Africa Food & Packaging Awards are the Oscars of the food and packaging manufacturing industries in Africa.

Hosted originally with the focus on the food industry, the awards have been expanded to include the packaging industry from this year.
