The 3rd edition of the Africa Food Industry Excellence Awards was attended by nearly 400 people from across the food, beverage and milling industry in sub-Saharan Africa.
Hosted at the new Sarit Expo Centre in Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya, the evening was full of celebratory moments as some of the most outstanding people and companies were feted in an evening full of fun and networking.
Over 50 entries were received from across Eastern, Central and Southern Africa in a highly competitive process for a chance to win top accolades in new products, sustainability and repackaged/reformulated products – nearly doubling the number of entries from the 2018 edition.
12 industry veterans were recognised for their dedication, passion and positive impact on the food industry in the people-focused honorary awards categories.
Further, new categories were added in the Deals & Investments of the Year – to celebrate the increasing pace of investments and deals that keep on flowing in the industry in Africa – and to highlight some of the most outstanding ones at the ceremony.
