The New Plant of the Year showcases greenfield, brownfield or facility extensions in the food industry that increase production, storage, utilities or laboratory capacity.

The plant must have been commissioned from January 1, 2016 to March 31, 2018 and be located in any of the Eastern & Central African countries.
